The Wildman

Hi, my name is Michele. I'm in my mid forties, and a married mother of two. I'm not tall or skinny, but I'm not lazy either. I love hiking and camping and just being in nature. I always have. I don't know why, nor can I explain the sense of peace when I'm alone in the woods. Because of this I try to get a couple weekends per year to just go and relax in the woods at some remote place. This last year work was just too much so I couldn't get much time off until mid September. By then the weather was getting cooler at night but the days were still fairly warm. I was able to get a full week off, and with my family's blessing I drove up to the north woods in Wisconsin. It was mid afternoon before I found the trail in to the remote camp site I located on the map. I parked my car and headed in after collecting all my things. The Beginning Ch. 29-30

Answering the cry to go in, I opened the door, surprised to see that I was the last to arrive. Since this was a general room, it lacked a bathroom, which opened up the space and made it feel bigger than mine. Ten other people were in the room, Vince and Fiona standing beside a screen on the left wall, facing eight others in chairs. "Took you long enough, Cannon Fodder," Vince said, snidely, as I stood there in surprise. "Your nickname for him is the same as for our squad?" Fiona asked, turning to face him. "You really are unimaginative, aren't you?" "Do we have a problem, Centurion?" Vince retorted in an imperious tone, still looking at me. "Pick on my squad, and we will. Sainyanayak," she answered, using his title almost as an afterthought, and through gritted teeth. "Do not test me, Centurion," Vince snarled, turning to face her. The Shinashoa Express

The train stood like a sleeping serpent up to its belly on Platform 7; the trail of humans disgorging steadily from its stomach only to be replaced almost as quickly. The Shinashoa express was a gateway for commuters from the backwater farmland of the western delta into the surrounding cities and beyond, where money could be made and families fed. Rebecca checked her ticket. The Chinese were delightful in their efficiency in regards to their signposting of the public transport system as the digits on the trackside billboard flicked through in a flurry of black and white to come to rest at 1092. She double checked her ticket, knowing full well that the numbers corresponded.
